For nearly 14 years, Ursula Holmsten has proudly served Albertans and utilized her knowledge to help them reach their financial goals. As a CEO, she views her team as just as essential as the client she serves, and as a result, Holmsten leads with her heart just as much as her head. As a champion for inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility, Holmsten has worked tirelessly to support women and POC to reach their career goals. Not only has she built a diverse team of wealth professionals, but she also has worked hard to ensure that her team has the access to support, mentorship, and resources that they need to grow. Since coming to her role as CEO, Holmsten has also helped develop pathways to leadership, and she promoted both a female Chief Financial Officer and ATB Wealth’s first-ever female Head of Advisory Services. Furthermore, Holmsten is a powerful advocate for mental health in the workplace. When she noticed advisors struggling with psychological wellness when the pandemic first struck, she made sure that her team had the resources to pull through. Not only did she hire a consultant to ensure that their voices were heard, but she also ensured that they had the support they needed and even rolled out a mental wellness plan for ATB Wealth. Holmsten has been a dynamic force within her organization and has helped to carve a path forward by challenging the status quo, solving problems in new and creative ways, and creating a culture of excellence. Not only is she an incredible leader, but she is also an outstanding professional who has helped countless Albertans create a better financial future.
